Houseperson

The Houseperson role at Hotel Paso Del Norte in El Paso, TX focuses on maintaining cleanliness in designated areas and supporting guest services to ensure a welcoming stay. This onsite position offers a hourly wage of USD 13 to 14.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and address special requests.
• Handle guest concerns, complaints, or suggestions promptly and escalate to management to support exemplary service.
• May collect waste and potentially contaminated materials for disposal; areas may include guestrooms, hallways, lobby, stairwells, and offices.
• Maintain privacy and security by announcing entry and servicing guestrooms as required.
• Operate and maintain assigned equipment and cleaning supplies per departmental standards, including vacuums, cleaning agents, and related tools.
• Monitor and uphold the cleanliness of common areas such as floor closets, stairwells, corridors, lobby spaces, and elevators.
• Keep the daily log current, record completed tasks, track issued keys, and review the communications log and files regularly.
• Handle lost and found items in line with department policies and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Inform the immediate supervisor promptly of any significant problems or issues.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a Room Attendant or Houseperson is required.
• Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products.
• Good physical health and stamina.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.
• Ability to work with little supervision while maintaining high performance standards.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• A high school diploma is a plus.
