Lead Housekeeper

The Lead Housekeeper at Cobblestone Hotel & Suites - De Pere leads the housekeeping team to maintain clean guest rooms and public areas, manages inventories and staff schedules, and coordinates with management on personnel matters and maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide training on room cleaning, laundry, breakfast service, and lead housekeeper duties to staff.
• Ensure guest rooms and public spaces are clean and ready, and conduct daily vacant-room checks for arriving guests.
• Demonstrate effective communication with team and guests.
• Perform basic arithmetic as required.
• Assist with inventory and order supplies for staff use.
• Enforce safety and security policies and procedures per company standards.
• Collaborate with management on staffing decisions, including selection, discipline, and discharge, as approved.
• Conduct daily inspections of staff and rooms to confirm attendance and evaluate workload and workmanship.
• Supervise all housekeeping staff.
• Oversee laundry operations and equipment maintenance.
• Document all liability incidents and employee injuries.
• Create staff schedules and assign days off.
• Lead daily staff meetings and assign room attendants to routine duties or special tasks.
• Ensure stockrooms remain adequately stocked with supplies.
• Manage lost and found items.
• Reconcile daily housekeeping reports and resolve discrepancies with the front desk.
• Oversee general cleaning of all public areas.
• Supervise quarterly and deep cleaning tasks and maintain related records.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of laundry and room cleaning procedures.
• Assist with cleaning guestrooms as needed.
• Coordinate with supervisors and the maintenance team to report and track repairs and maintenance items.
• Maintain cleanliness of all interior and exterior public spaces.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
