Lobby Attendant / Houseman

Daxton Hotel is seeking a Hotel Lobby Attendant / Houseman (Full-Time) in the Housekeeping department for an onsite position in Birmingham, MI. The role focuses on maintaining a clean, welcoming environment in the lobby and supporting daily housekeeping operations and guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the hotel lobby, hallways, elevators, public restrooms, and other common areas.
• Ensure the lobby, entrance, and guest areas remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, dust furniture, and clean glass doors and windows.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms and other designated areas.
• Remove trash and replace liners throughout the hotel.
• Assist housekeeping staff by delivering linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to guest rooms.
• Support operational needs by moving furniture, setting up meeting rooms, and completing other assigned tasks.
• Respond promptly to guest requests with friendly, professional service.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and unusual activity to management.
• Follow hotel cleaning procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25–50 pounds, as required by the position.
• Previous hotel housekeeping or janitorial experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as scheduled.
