The Banquet House Attendant supports the successful flow of meetings and events by preparing and restoring meeting spaces in line with established guest service and sustainability standards at The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale.
Location & Schedule
Fort Lauderdale, FL (onsite). The work schedule varies and may include alternate shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up meeting rooms according to banquet event order forms and related documents to ensure the room presentation meets guest expectations.
- Transport awkward and heavy items such as staging, tables, chairs, dance floors, and similar materials from the storage area to meeting rooms safely using proper equipment.
- Break down meeting rooms and return banquet items to the storage closet in a neat, organized manner.
- Maintain the established cleaning schedule for meeting rooms and ballrooms to keep spaces presentable at all times.
- Adjust to guest service changes by responding to requests for room set up modifications and providing information regarding other areas of the hotel.
- Address guest complaints directly; when needed, seek assistance from a supervisor.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous banquet set up or customer service experience preferred.
Safety, Compliance & Tools
Knowledge and adherence to MSDS and OSHA standards are required, supported by training and tools used at the property. The role also includes TELUS Health access.
Compensation
USD 15 per hourly.
