House Attendant

At The Dalmar, Fort Lauderdale, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, you’ll help keep public spaces welcoming and support strong guest service standards as a House Attendant. This role offers the chance to contribute directly to guest comfort through clean, well-maintained areas and consistent attention to detail, while following sustainability practices through HHM’s EarthView program.

What you’ll do

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous, friendly manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and complete cleaning tasks as required.
• Collect trash from service landings and dispose of it in outside trash dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors to maintain a polished appearance.
• Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and transport it to the laundry collection site.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues to support faster resolution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in guest areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and assistance during your shift.
• Support room attendant coverage when staffing shortages occur or during peak periods.
• Work toward improving guest satisfaction by staying aware of guest satisfaction scores and helping drive departmental and overall results.
• Follow sustainability guidelines tied to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction through consistent service and cleanliness.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Work schedule and physical demands

This is an onsite role in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Your schedule varies and may include holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The position requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 25 pounds, along with reaching, bending, and kneeling to access all areas.

You will use cleaning chemicals as part of daily tasks, following the applicable safety requirements.

Requirements

• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred.

You’ll work in alignment with the HHM EarthView program and comply with MSDS and OSHA expectations while maintaining safe, effective housekeeping practices.
