Night Auditor
Job Description
Own the overnight close while supporting guest service and daily operations at The Dalmar in Fort Lauderdale.
Responsibilities
- Balance revenue and settle accounts nightly, maintain files, and reset systems for the next day of operations while handling Guest Service Agent tasks and duties
- Complete bookkeeping activities, including balancing accounts and performing nightly audits
- Maintain records for room availability and guests’ accounts, manually or using computers
- Prepare and distribute daily reports
- Audit and reconcile cashiers
- Audit, reconcile, consolidate, and transmit credit cards on a timely basis
- Enter and update financial information in the BRAINS network
- Check guests in and out and perform Guest Service Agents responsibilities
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and support efforts to improve departmental and overall satisfaction
- Maintain safe work habits and use required protective safety equipment
- Support overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous night audit/accounting experience or equivalent training required
- Computer knowledge with Excel and arithmetic skills required
- FSD is a plus; required within 90 days of employment
