Housekeeping Supervisor

In this onsite role, you will oversee housekeeping operations to maintain brand and guest service expectations while supporting sustainability standards. You will lead daily team activities through training, scheduling, coaching, and performance follow-up to help ensure strong guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure brand or hotel guest service and sustainability standards are met.
• Train, schedule, coach, and support associates so work is completed according to established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values.
• Screen job applicants and hire new employees when housekeeping associates are HHM employees.
• Ensure staff are trained to clean rooms efficiently according to established standards, or partner with external vendors to confirm proper training.
• Monitor and communicate guest service scores to support continuous improvement and higher guest satisfaction.
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment to associates.
• On occasion, clean rooms or assist staff with cleaning rooms.
• Address associate performance and behavior concerns through direct intervention with HHM associates or through vendors.
• Supervise laundry employees, if applicable.
• Prepare work schedules for HHM associates or provide vendors with anticipated occupancy to ensure proper staffing levels.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, lift up to 25 pounds, reach, kneel, and bend.
