Seasonal Housekeeping Lobby Attendant

The Jefferson Hotel is hiring a Seasonal Housekeeping Lobby Attendant in Richmond, VA (onsite) to support the Housekeeping team in maintaining cleanliness and professional presentation across public areas. The role includes routine cleaning tasks, quick response to guest needs, and assistance with day-to-day upkeep of guest-facing spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of public spaces, including the lobby, hallways, and restrooms.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the shift, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and emptying trash in assigned areas.
• Restock supplies in public restrooms and help ensure they remain clean and well maintained.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and respond promptly to maintain a polished environment for guests.
• Support maintenance of hallways and other guest-facing areas as needed.
• Provide courteous assistance to guests when approached and help direct them when appropriate.
• Report maintenance concerns or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Assist the Housekeeping team with additional tasks and special cleaning projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule between 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift 40+ pounds when required.
• Pleasant, helpful demeanor with guests and team members.
• Strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with guests.

Compensation

This seasonal position offers an hourly rate of USD 14 to 16 per hour.
