PM Line Cook

The PM Line Cook role supports the kitchen team at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh by producing and presenting food on time, while maintaining sanitation standards, proper stock levels, and a well-prepared, clean line for daily service.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent food quality and presentation to guests in a timely manner.
• Stock and maintain sufficient product levels at line stations to support smooth service.
• Consistently follow standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and all kitchen rules, policies, and procedures.
• Use proper sanitation practices to prevent food spoiling and contamination while meeting policy and health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness of the assigned work station areas, including equipment such as tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection ovens, flat top ranges, and refrigeration equipment.
• Assist with daily cleaning of the pantry, cooking line, prep kitchen, dish area, stairs, walk-in, and prep areas.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in a full service restaurant and/or culinary operation as a line cook, cook, banquet cook, assisted living cook, or in a restaurant role such as food handling, cashier-related, or supportive positions (preferred).
• Strong time management and organizational skills to support high quality food production.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal direction or supervision.
• Food Handler Certification (if applicable).
• Training in knife skills and basic kitchen equipment usage.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to build positive working rapport with a variety of personalities.
• Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to maintain and build strong working relationships with teammates.
