What You’ll Do

As part of the kitchen team, you’ll help prepare reliable, guest-ready meals while keeping the workspace organized and compliant. Your focus is consistency, quality, and safe kitchen operations that support the hotel’s opening.

• Prepare menu items using standard recipes and guest orders to keep every plate consistent
• Prep and cook meat, fish, poultry, sauces, and stocks across kitchen stations
• Inspect and select quality ingredients, then rotate, label, and store product properly
• Maintain coolers, storage, and work areas that are clean, organized, and aligned with health department standards
• Prepare daily requisitions for food and supplies
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and report hazards or incidents right away
• Work as a team with front-of-house and other hotel departments to deliver a great guest experience

Requirements

• 2+ years of cooking experience; hotel or restaurant experience preferred
• Solid knowledge of broiling, sautéing, frying, roasting, and moist-heat cooking
• Comfort running all kitchen equipment, including ovens, broilers, steamers, and kettles
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation
• Basic math skills for recipes, measurements, and portioning
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English; a second language is a strong plus
• Reliable, positive, and open to feedback
• Able to stand for a full shift, work in a hot kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs
