Public Area/Laundry Attendant

The St. Anthony Hotel a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Antonio is hiring a Laundry Attendant to support clean, safe, and comfortable guest laundry operations. The position focuses on efficient equipment use, linen care, and ongoing maintenance of laundry areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate washing and drying equipment, including loading and unloading laundry from machines.
• Measure and dispense cleaning agents for laundry according to product specifications.
• Monitor feeder information on washers, ensure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor.
• Set appropriate drying and cooling times based on the type of linen.
• Clean machines and the surrounding laundry areas to maintain a safe, orderly workspace.
• Assist with inventory tasks as needed.
• Complete other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads, and to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift bundles of linen weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in a warm/humid environment.
• Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Previous experience working in a laundry facility is highly preferred.
• Working knowledge of laundry chemicals, formulas, and their effects on different types of linen is highly preferred.

Work Location and Schedule

This role is onsite in San Antonio, TX and requires availability across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: USD 18 per hour.
