Room Attendant

As a Room Attendant with the Tapestry Hotel New Bern NC, you will play a key role in keeping guest rooms and public spaces clean, sanitized, and welcoming. Working onsite in New Bern, NC, you will focus on hygiene, attention to detail, and dependable room readiness that supports a smooth guest experience.

This position includes a mix of room cleaning, laundry support, and janitorial upkeep. You will use the right cleaning tools and follow infection control and sanitation guidelines to maintain a consistently high standard throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms thoroughly, including beds, bathrooms, windows, floors, and furniture, while meeting hygiene standards.
• Complete detailed window cleaning and perform pressure washing to keep exteriors and sightlines clear.
• Handle laundry services by sorting, washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels efficiently.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with infection control protocols and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain public areas with janitorial tasks such as trash removal and floor care, including mopping, sweeping, and polishing.
• Support heavy lifting duties tied to cleaning supplies or furniture movement using proper manual handling techniques.

Requirements

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial or hospitality setting is preferred.
• Ability to lift and handle items safely, including moving furniture and heavy cleaning supplies.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude toward guests and team members.
• Prior experience operating cleaning equipment, including vacuums, buffers, pressure washers, and laundry machines, is beneficial.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected Hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
