Seasonal Festival of Lights Room Attendant

The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa is hiring a Seasonal Festival of Lights Room Attendant for its Annual Festival of Lights celebration in Riverside, CA. This onsite seasonal role focuses on maintaining clean, sanitized guest rooms while supporting a welcoming experience during the holiday period.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to help ensure their stay is going well
• Work collaboratively to achieve resort and hotel cleanliness goals
• Keep the work cart organized and properly stocked
• Use equipment supplies and guest amenities appropriately
• Complete thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
• Change and inspect linens and towels daily in accordance with Green Program standards
• Follow safety standards and report hazards found, including broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons
• Exercise respect for guests’ property at all times
• Ensure proper care of equipment
• Report to work on time and follow the posted schedule to maintain accurate time records and room issuance standards
• Stay alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and coworkers throughout the shift
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable
• Neat, pleasant personality
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to move and traverse to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions and detect odors; position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces
• Ability to operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
• Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Experienced housekeepers may have the possibility of growing into supervisory or management positions, including Housekeeping Supervisors, Managers, and even Executive Housekeeper.

Compensation

$17.75 per hour
