Seasonal Professional Dog Groomer

Creekside Pet Hotel in Marietta, GA is hiring a Seasonal Professional Dog Groomer for our onsite team. This is a part-time role designed for flexibility, running November 2026 through January 2, 2027, with the potential to continue as a permanent year-round position. Seasonal Schedule and Work Setup

This position is in person on a Day Shift basis (required). The schedule is part-time (2–3 days per week as needed). Weekend and holiday timing are essential, including Saturdays, plus availability around Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve.

Compensation

Pay is 50% commission plus tips. An hourly base rate equivalent of $16.00 to $20.00/hr applies alongside tips.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate haircutting ability on a demo dog for the groom manager (required).
• Use a compassionate, gentle approach while handling dogs and applying safe grooming techniques.
• Be able to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift heavy pets (minimum 50 lbs.) and equipment.
• Provide strong customer service and maintain clear communication with pet owners.
• Use basic computer skills to manage appointment software.
• Work as a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of proven, professional dog grooming experience.
• Must demonstrate haircutting ability on a demo dog for the groom manager (required).
• Sound understanding of dog behavior and handling techniques with a gentle approach.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift pets and equipment (minimum 50 lbs.).
• Excellent customer service, clear communication skills, and basic computer skills for appointment software.
• Self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Weekend availability (especially Saturdays) and availability around key holiday dates: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve are essential.
• Part-time schedule (2–3 days per week as needed).
