Cat Only Pet Kennel Receptionist and Customer Service- Kitty Concierge

Join Happy Cat Hotel & Spa in Northwest Austin as a part-time Kitty Concierge, supporting cat-focused hospitality with reception, daily care, and owner updates.

Responsibilities

• Welcome arriving guests and their feline companions with a friendly, warm presence
• Handle guest communication by responding to email and voicemail, answering phone calls professionally, and contacting veterinarian offices for information
• Manage efficient cat hotel check-in, ensuring required paperwork is completed and preferences or specific requests are recorded
• Support a smooth check-out experience by saying farewell and thanking guests for choosing the hotel
• Provide day-to-day care including meals and fresh water based on each cat’s dietary requirements and schedule
• Clean and change litter boxes regularly to maintain a clean, odor-free environment
• Run enrichment and play sessions and provide affectionate interaction so cats feel loved and cared for during their stay
• Write daily emails to owners describing each cat’s day
• Monitor health and behavior of feline guests and report any concerns promptly to management or the veterinary team
• Administer medication as needed, including pills, subcutaneous medication, or insulin shots, including to somewhat spicy kitties
• Wash and dry cat bedding, towels, and other linens used in the facility
• Maintain accurate records of each cat’s activities, meals, and health observations
• Send enrichment reports to owners each day with updates on cat activities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation across cat suites, common areas, playrooms, and all other areas of the hotel
• Clean, disinfect, and set up rooms after cats check out
• Ensure feline guests receive care 7 days a week

Requirements

• Genuine love for cats and understanding of feline behavior and needs
• Basic working knowledge of handling cats with varying personalities
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar role (customer service experience required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with “cat parents” and team members effectively
• Compassionate approach with patience and understanding for both feline guests and their human companions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Strong work ethic and ownership of responsibilities
• Proactive and resourceful attitude for guest questions and concerns
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Vehicle available on-site in case emergency care is needed
• Experience working with cats is required to be described in the application (include years)

• Job type: Part-time
• Hours: 15-25 hours a week depending on hotel occupancy
• Shift availability: Varying hours between 7am and 9pm; weekends required; must be able to work either 7am-2pm or 2pm-9pm at any time, even in the same week
• Pay: From $15.00 per hour (Hourly wage, competitive, based on experience)
