Job Description

Grand Beach Suites Hotel is seeking a Guest Service Agent to support front desk and guest service operations onsite in Surfside, FL. This role focuses on delivering friendly, professional, and efficient service while coordinating with hotel departments to meet guest needs.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests and complete registration in an outstandingly friendly, professional, and efficient manner
Assign rooms whenever possible in a way that satisfies special requests
Collect necessary credit and payment information from guests
Provide traveler check cashing and foreign currency conversion for hotel guests
Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill guest requests
Share detailed information about hotel facilities and operating hours
Notify Housekeeping of special requests, late checkouts, room changes, and day use rooms
Post charges received by the Front Desk from hotel outlets
Sell rooms in line with Front Desk sales strategies
Receive and transmit guest messages
Complete check-out and cash handling tasks in accordance with hotel cashiering and credit policies
Distribute and coordinate completion of survey cards during guest check-out
Assist guests with kiosk and computer support for guest check-in and check-out
Coordinate room changes for guests
Issue safe deposit box access and complete safe deposit box close-out procedures
Answer telephone calls and guest inquiries in a friendly, professional manner
Read and initial all entries in the Front Desk Logbook and review information on the Front Desk Bulletin Board
Review Group Profiles and Banquet Event information daily
Maintain cleanliness and ensure equipment and the work area remain in excellent condition
Perform other duties as assigned

Adhere completely to Grand Service standards and comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules
Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times
Notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
Provide polite, friendly, and helpful service to guests, management, and fellow employees
Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
Attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
Recycle whenever possible and remain current with hotel information and changes
Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Required Qualifications

Minimum one year of Front Desk experience at a comparable quality property (preferred)
General knowledge of hotel departments (preferred)
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Excellent guest service skills
Ability to stand for an eight hour shift
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
