Bell Person

Join the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa team as a Bell Person in Groton, CT (onsite). In this role, you will support guest arrival and throughout-stay needs by assisting with luggage, providing room and service guidance, and performing related guest services while following safety and sustainability expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload luggage carts.
• Tag and store luggage for incoming guests.
• Escort guests to their hotel rooms.
• Provide an overview of guest room features and available hotel services and amenities.
• Make deliveries to guest rooms.
• Assist guests with room changes when needed.
• Stock pantry items when necessary.
• Maintain and share updated lists and brochures for local attractions, transportation guides, churches, sports arenas, and related information.
• Perform house attendant functions when staff shortages occur.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and support efforts to improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines and practices associated with HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
• Complete other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• High School diploma preferred.
• Previous customer experience required or equivalent training.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

This position has a varying work schedule and may require availability on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. The role involves standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, as well as bending and reaching.

Compensation

USD 17 per hour (hourly).
