Onsite in Seneca, South Carolina, Postcard Cabins Lake Hartwell offers a welcoming escape managed by Hotel Equities. As a Cabinkeeper, you will maintain cabins and public areas with a focus on friendly service and guest satisfaction, ensuring spaces stay clean, safe, and inviting. This hands-on role blends attention to detail with a team-oriented hospitality mindset.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean assigned cabins and cabin patios, including windows, doors, walls, closets, floors, bathrooms, appliances, and fixtures; also clean public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to reach high spots to keep the property clean, presentable, and attractive at all times.
- Wash shower walls and tubs, clean toilets and stall walls where applicable, wipe exposed pipes, and clean mirrors, sinks, and surrounding walls to maintain sanitary restrooms for guests and public areas.
- Replace linen, toiletries, and collateral in each cabin.
- Wash all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled spots.
- Vacuum all carpeted areas.
- Inspect room equipment such as TVs, lights, faucets, and radios to ensure proper operation; promptly report maintenance deficiencies in writing to the direct supervisor for repair or resolution.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles, cleaning products, and standard cleaning equipment.
- Ability to identify minute debris in poorly lit areas and read written instructions and computer print-outs.
- Upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs continually during an eight-hour shift.
- Finger, hand, and upper body dexterity to push, pull, and move levers, equipment, and furniture throughout the shift.
- Ability to work with arms raised above the head for portions of the shift.
- Ability to maneuver a fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50 lbs through hallways and into/out of closets all day.
- Familiarity with basic residential cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaning gear; cleaning cart; ladder or stepping stool; commercial washers, dryers, and pressers.
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals on a continual basis.
- Prolonged strenuous physical activity in an indoor climate-controlled environment, with potential for excessive heat and humidity in laundry areas.
- Education: High School diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent.
