Job Description

Join Pyramid Hotel Group at the Virginia Guesthouse at UVA, opening in April 2026. This 214-room hotel offers 25,000 square feet of conference and event space on the University of Virginia grounds. As Facilities Supervisor onsite in Charlottesville, VA 22903, you will help keep mechanical systems and day-to-day facilities operations running smoothly, supporting a team built on service, accountability, and asset protection.

What you’ll do

Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you will assist as needed to ensure the working order of mechanical equipment and oversee facilities operations. The role includes managing maintenance and repair needs, supporting preventative maintenance efforts, and responding to guest maintenance requests so issues are handled efficiently and professionally.

  • Respond to guest maintenance requests and questions, resolving needs efficiently.
  • Assist in training, motivating, and supporting the facilities team to maintain quality service.
  • Recognize and reward superior performance within the team.
  • Support the Director of Facilities in supervising facilities team activities.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, maintaining records and data related to Property Operations.
  • Develop and monitor engineering supplies, parts, and inventories.
  • Administer the purchase order system and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors as required.
  • Ensure correct use of office equipment, EMS systems, and Life Safety Systems (training will be provided).

What you bring

  • Two years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Vocational or technical training preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing blueprints.
  • Comfort using hand tools and power tools.
  • Universal refrigerant license.
  • Ability to read wire and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to properly use an electrical meter.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, reach, crouch, bend, and push/pull throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Compensation and schedule details

$29.00 per hour.

This position is onsite at the Virginia Guesthouse at UVA in Charlottesville, VA 22903.

Technologies: EMS systems, Life Safety Systems, electrical meter.
