Floor Care Technician

The Post Oak Hotel in Houston is hiring a Floor Care Technician to help maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and long-term durability of our floors. In this onsite role, you will work to create a safe, opulent environment for guests while caring for both marble and carpet surfaces using specialized equipment and cleaning solutions.

Role Overview

You will perform floor cleaning and maintenance, monitor conditions through regular inspections, and take action when issues are identified. By addressing stains, scratches, odors, and damage promptly, you help preserve the quality and aesthetics of marble and carpeted areas throughout the property.

Compensation & Location

• Location: Houston, TX (onsite)
• Pay Range: USD $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain marble surfaces, including polishing, buffing, and sealing
• Identify and address specific issues on marble and carpeted floors, including stains, scratches, odors, or damage
• Use specialized equipment and cleaning solutions to preserve quality and appearance of marble and carpeted surfaces
• Perform carpet cleaning procedures such as vacuuming, shampooing, and steam cleaning
• Complete regular, thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs or potential issues and provide swift solutions
• Report and document findings, recommending and implementing appropriate actions to address concerns promptly
• Maintain and ensure the optimal functioning of all floor care equipment
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines when working with cleaning chemicals and equipment

Requirements

• Experience as a Floor Care Technician with specialized expertise in marble and carpet care
• Knowledge of various floor types, cleaning chemicals and methods, and the operation of equipment
• Previous hotel experience; luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and move furniture
