Hotel Housekeeper

Join the TownePlace Suites Marriot Hotel in Dodge City, KS as a Hotel Housekeeper onsite, with an hourly rate of USD 22 - 26 to keep guest spaces clean and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas thoroughly using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents to uphold high hygiene standards
• Safely handle chemical agents by following safety data sheets and proper chemical handling procedures in daily operations
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and perform detailed floor care to maintain pristine surfaces and consistent cleanliness
• Carry out heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture, supplies, or equipment using correct manual handling techniques to support room readiness
• Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting surfaces, restocking amenities, and ensuring cleanliness aligns with hotel policies and health regulations
• Operate janitorial equipment efficiently while observing safety protocols for industrial cleaning and custodial tasks
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping with strong customer service
• Follow hotel emergency procedures to protect guests and staff when necessary

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles within hospitality environments
• Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management principles and janitorial best practices
• Experience handling chemical agents safely in accordance with SDS guidelines and safety protocols
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper ergonomic techniques
• Strong customer service orientation coupled with excellent communication skills
• Prior exposure to industrial cleaning or hospital-grade sanitation is advantageous
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and SDS requirements is preferred
