Hotel Housekeeper

The Clarion Hotel in Lewiston, ME is hiring a Hotel Housekeeper onsite for a fast-paced, guest-focused role where cleanliness directly supports comfort and satisfaction. Pay range: $15.10 - $16.50 per hour (USD 15 - 16 per hourly).
Work location: In person in Lewiston, ME.

What you will do

• Clean and reset guest rooms to a high standard, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain public areas including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by completing routine cleaning tasks.
• Use chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures to support a safe environment for guests and coworkers.
• Complete heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or cleaning equipment, while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
• Operate industrial cleaning tools and equipment efficiently to meet floor care and sanitation standards.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures carefully in the event of incidents or safety concerns, prioritizing guest safety at all times.
• Deliver excellent customer service by responding to guest requests promptly and professionally, helping create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

What you bring

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or industrial cleaning environments is highly preferred.
• Essential knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and the use of cleaning equipment.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely while staying compliant with SDS guidelines and chemical handling procedures.
• Strong manual handling skills, including the capacity for heavy lifting when needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hospitality standards is advantageous.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to help ensure guest well-being at all times.
