Hotel Housekeeper

Support daily room readiness by keeping cleanliness, sanitation, and floor care standards consistent across the property.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate methods, tools, and equipment
• Operate cleaning equipment and perform floor care tasks including vacuuming carpets, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors
• Handle cleaning agents and chemicals safely by following established safety and chemical handling protocols
• Complete heavy lifting tasks as needed, such as moving furniture or large supplies, using proper manual handling techniques
• Restock amenities, linens, and other supplies to support guest comfort and smooth operations
• Maintain sanitation through scheduled cleaning and accurate documentation of completed cleaning activities
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in the event of incidents or safety concerns

Requirements

• Ability to safely handle cleaning agents and chemicals in line with safety and chemical handling protocols
• Ability to follow hotel emergency procedures promptly when incidents or safety concerns arise
• Safe manual handling capability, including heavy lifting plus prolonged standing and walking
• Strong customer service skills for professional communication with guests and team members
• Knowledge of hotel safety protocols

Preferred Experience

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices is advantageous
• Experience using cleaning equipment such as vacuums and other janitorial tools is desirable
• Prior hospitality or hotel housekeeping experience supports strong standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction
