Weekend Housekeeper

The Weekend Housekeeper at The Grand View Hotel Inn & Suites is responsible for supporting cleanliness, comfort, and guest satisfaction across the property. The role is based onsite in Wasilla, AK, with weekend-focused housekeeping coverage.

Role Overview

You will maintain high standards of cleanliness in both guest-facing and public areas, including guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and other public spaces. Work will follow established procedures with a strong emphasis on safety and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas according to hotel procedures.
• Handle chemical agents safely by understanding and following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling techniques.
• Complete manual tasks such as making beds, vacuuming carpets, dusting surfaces, and changing linens efficiently.
• Maintain floor appearance through sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
• Support housekeeping operations by coordinating with management to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, helping protect guests and staff at all times.
• Use janitorial equipment and industrial cleaning tools effectively while adhering to safety standards for heavy lifting and custodial work.

Requirements

• Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, safely and efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude focused on exceptional guest service.

Safety and Tools

Use safety data sheets (SDS) to guide safe chemical handling. Perform custodial work and heavy lifting in line with established safety standards while operating cleaning equipment.

Compensation and Work Location

• Pay: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour
