Hotel Housekeeper/ Room Attendant

Key Responsibilities

• Stock the housekeeping bag with the appropriate cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities to complete room cleaning properly.
• Follow proper knocking procedures before entering a guest room.
• Clean the assigned guest rooms and ensure amenities are fully stocked in each cleaned room.
• Complete the entire housekeeping checklist and accurately mark cleaned rooms for supervisor inspection.
• Secure guest room doors upon exiting the room.
• Maintain neatness in corridors and service areas at all times.
• Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Report any damages or hazards found in guest rooms (for example, burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, or broken lights) to the Guestware or Housekeeping Coordinator.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety and security rules.
• Follow department fire prevention and emergency procedures, using protective equipment as required.
• Report unsafe conditions to management and communicate accidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage or loss to management.
• Support a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
• Maintain a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance consistent with the standards outlined in the team member handbook.
• Perform related duties as requested by management and assist other Housekeeping Personnel when needed.

Requirements

• Bend and reach to dust, clean, and make beds and bathrooms.
• Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often for long periods.
• Talk to a variety of people to provide information, answer questions, and deliver required services.
• Visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and for guest belongings that may have been left behind.
• Use written communication skills to mark completed rooms on daily paperwork.
• Move fingers, arms, and hands quickly and easily to perform cleaning duties.
