Hotel Housekeeper

Onsite Hotel Housekeeper role in Madison, WI at Madison Sunrise Hotel LLC - Hampton Inn Madison East.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
• Complete floor cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers
• Handle and apply chemical agents according to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel safety protocols
• Perform janitorial duties to maintain public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces
• Follow hotel emergency procedures and sanitation guidelines to support guest safety
• Assist with manual heavy lifting for cleaning supplies or equipment while following safe handling standards
• Use cleaning tools effectively and support proper maintenance and storage after use
• Provide customer service by responding promptly to guest requests and supporting guest comfort during their stay

Requirements

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is a plus
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation and safety standards
• Hands-on experience with cleaning techniques including floor care, vacuuming, and chemical handling
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols for sanitation and chemical use
• Ability to perform manual handling safely, including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment
• Previous hospitality experience highly preferred, with a focus on customer service and attention to detail
