Hotel Night Auditor
Job Description
Overnight operations keep a hotel running smoothly, and this role is central to that success. At Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in Rhinelander, WI, the Hotel Night Auditor works the shift that bridges evening arrivals with morning departures, handling front desk duties, daily financial reconciliation, and guest support from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
In this onsite position, you will help maintain operational excellence by managing overnight guest interactions, reviewing financial activity for accuracy, and supporting safety monitoring and shift documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and support guests arriving or departing overnight hours with professionalism and warmth.
- Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently using hotel management software.
- Reconcile daily financial transactions, including billing, payments, and account adjustments, to confirm accuracy.
- Monitor security cameras and complete routine safety checks in line with hotel safety procedures.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly, using a friendly approach and effective problem-solving.
- Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, and audit documentation to support accurate record-keeping.
- Support administrative needs such as answering multi-line phone systems, managing guest accounts, and handling correspondence professionally.
Requirements
- Experience in hospitality is a plus, or the team will train.
- Familiarity with computer programs is required.
- Strong customer service skills, including phone etiquette and comfort handling a multi-line phone system.
- Organized working style with keen attention to detail for financial reconciliation and records accuracy.
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining energy and professionalism.
Hours
- 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- 32 to 40 hours
Pay
- Up to $18.00 per hour
