Hotel/Resort Room Attendant (Housekeeper)

Split Rock Hotel is seeking a Hotel/Resort Room Attendant (Housekeeper) to keep guestrooms clean, well-prepared, and guest-ready at the Lake Harmony, PA location (onsite).

Responsibilities

• Deliver strong customer service by greeting guests warmly and maintaining excellent guest relations.
• Transport linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts.
• Clean and reset guest rooms by making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning throughout.
• Dust and polish furniture and equipment in guestrooms and common cleaning areas.
• Replenish room items including drinking glasses, writing materials, and bathroom essentials.
• Vacuum and clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Shine metalwork fixtures and fittings; dust and polish remaining furniture and equipment.
• Clean walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empty wastebaskets, clean ashtrays, and dispose of trash and waste properly.
• Keep storage areas and carts clean, organized, and well stocked.
• Report missing items from rooms (examples include irons/boards and hair dryers) to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Report maintenance repairs immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager.
• Handle “Lost and Found” items according to company standards.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to accurately follow oral or written instructions, often involving repetitive routines.
• Consistent ability to complete repetitive tasks with precision.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, or pull heavy objects using hands.
• Service-oriented approach with a willingness to assist guests/people.
• Coordination skills to adjust actions in response to others’ actions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospitality or related cleaning roles is advantageous.
