Housekeeper

The Housekeeper plays a key role in guest satisfaction by maintaining clean, comfortable rooms and public areas and preparing them for the next arrivals. This part-time position at Wilderness Hotel and Resort Inc is based onsite in Wisconsin Dells, WI, with housekeeping team members coordinating to complete room cleaning and related tasks efficiently using the correct procedures and chemicals provided by management.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms and guest areas, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replacing supplies, and cleaning windows, mirrors, and patios.
• Clean guest suites within a time period set by management, following proper procedures and using chemicals provided by management.
• Empty wastebaskets and empty and clean ashtrays.
• Use chemicals according to directions and review material safety data sheets.
• Follow procedures related to protection against blood borne pathogens.
• Ensure rooms are completed and signed off within the required time frame.
• Practice safety procedures, including proper bending and lifting and safe equipment use.
• Report hazardous conditions in the work area or with equipment to management.
• Maintain a stocked, organized, and clean housekeeping cart with adequate supplies.
• Completely clear housekeeping cart and storage unit of trash and organize carts and storage units.
• Document and secure lost and found items.
• Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner.
• Restock the housekeeping cart at the end of the shift to keep supplies ready for the next work period.
• When property damage is discovered, immediately complete a maintenance request form and/or missing inventory form and submit it to the Manager.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
