Job Description
Situated at Aloft Sarasota, part of Pyramid Hotel Group, this housekeeping role helps maintain clean and welcoming guest rooms and public areas to support a positive guest experience. The Housekeeping/Room Attendant works as part of a team focused on hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Compensation for this role is $16.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to ensure their stay proceeds smoothly
- Collaborate with team members to achieve overall hotel cleanliness goals
- Keep the work cart organized and stocked
- Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly
- Provide thorough cleanliness and sanitation in assigned guest areas
- Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
- Adhere to safety standards and identify hazards such as broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons, reporting issues as found
- Respect guests’ property at all times
- Care for equipment responsibly
- Report to work on time according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper room issuance procedures
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor
Requirements
- Housekeeping experience is desirable
- Neat, pleasant personality
- Time management skills
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
- Ability to move and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high areas; observe conditions, detect odors, and maneuver carts up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
- Lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs
