Housekeeping/ Room Attendant

Situated at Aloft Sarasota, part of Pyramid Hotel Group, this housekeeping role helps maintain clean and welcoming guest rooms and public areas to support a positive guest experience. The Housekeeping/Room Attendant works as part of a team focused on hotel cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Compensation for this role is $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests to ensure their stay proceeds smoothly
• Collaborate with team members to achieve overall hotel cleanliness goals
• Keep the work cart organized and stocked
• Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities properly
• Provide thorough cleanliness and sanitation in assigned guest areas
• Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
• Adhere to safety standards and identify hazards such as broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons, reporting issues as found
• Respect guests’ property at all times
• Care for equipment responsibly
• Report to work on time according to the posted schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow proper room issuance procedures
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor

Requirements

• Housekeeping experience is desirable
• Neat, pleasant personality
• Time management skills
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to move and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high areas; observe conditions, detect odors, and maneuver carts up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
• Lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs
