Houseman - Saturday Night

Jamsan Hotel Management is seeking a dedicated Houseman for Saturday night shifts at our Plymouth, MA property. This onsite role focuses on keeping hotel public areas and guest spaces clean, sanitized, and well maintained, with an emphasis on safe cleaning practices and responsive service.

You will support a welcoming guest experience by handling routine cleaning, disinfecting, and upkeep throughout the hotel, and by addressing guest requests related to cleanliness or sanitation concerns. The shift is night-focused, with the expectation of working independently while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete thorough floor cleaning using appropriate floor care techniques, including vacuuming, mopping, and polishing to maintain clean, polished surfaces.
• Use a variety of cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and efficiently by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Perform manual handling of supplies, furniture, and equipment, including heavy lifting when necessary, in accordance with established safety protocols.
• Maintain sanitation standards in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and service corridors through routine cleaning and disinfecting.
• Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners to ensure strong results and consistent upkeep.
• Assist with hotel housekeeping management tasks as needed, supporting overall cleanliness across the property.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns involving cleanliness or sanitation, providing excellent customer service.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles in hospitality or industrial cleaning environments.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, and safe handling of chemical agents.
• Ability to complete manual handling tasks, including heavy lifting, safely following required procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or carpet cleaners preferred.
• Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
