Houseperson

The Houseperson ensures the cleanliness of public areas and performs light maintenance tasks across the property.

Location

Wilmington, NC (onsite)

Salary

USD 16 - 17 per hour

Responsibilities

• Empties trash receptacles and ashtrays in corridors and public areas
• Maintains exterior walkways; sweeps stairs and landings; wipes railings and cleans EXIT doors
• Cleans windows according to the schedule
• Cleans elevators, tracks, chrome, and stainless steel surfaces
• Performs spot cleaning of walls and doors, removes cobwebs, and cleans fire extinguishers
• Wipes baseboards, railings, phones, walls, and vending areas
• Vacuums public area rugs and corridors and shampoos carpets
• Polishes and cleans lobby floor according to schedule
• Regularly inspects the lobby and public restrooms for cleanliness and restocks supplies, especially during functions
• Cleans public restrooms
• Cleans the lobby
• All other duties as assigned by the maintenance team

• Capable of interacting with guests in a courteous and friendly manner
• Maintains consistently high standards of personal hygiene and appearance

Physical Requirements

• Requires walking and standing for the duration of a shift
• Requires ability to perform light physical labor including lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, and handling
• Occasionally lifts 25 to 30 pounds
• Must be able to walk and ascend/descend stairs for about half of each shift
