Houseperson

Hotel Equities Group, LLC is hiring a friendly, service-oriented Houseperson to help keep Kansas City guest rooms and public spaces clean, comfortable, and ready for arrivals. This onsite role supports a positive guest experience through consistent attention to detail, efficient room turnover, and responsive housekeeping service.

Working within hotel and brand standards, you will maintain assigned areas, communicate any room status and maintenance concerns, and assist with day-to-day cleaning as well as special projects when needed.

What you will do

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces according to hotel standards.
• Make beds, change linens, replenish supplies, dust, vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize surfaces.
• Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance concerns, and report issues promptly.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and special housekeeping needs.
• Handle guest belongings and hotel property responsibly in line with company procedures.
• Keep housekeeping carts, supplies, and work areas organized.
• Follow proper chemical handling, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures.
• Assist with deep cleaning and special projects as assigned.
• Communicate room status and maintenance needs to the appropriate hotel departments.
• Support the team in meeting productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and hotel cleanliness standards.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, courteous guest-service skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Compensation and schedule

$16 - $17 per hour (onsite, Kansas City, MO). Flexible hours are required, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
• Lift, carry, and maneuver housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Work with cleaning chemicals and in varying temperatures as required.
