Job Description

Santa Ana Star Casino Hotel in Santa Ana Pueblo, NM relies on a reliable Houseperson to keep hotel corridors and public areas clean and inviting, while supporting Guest Room Attendants and managing linen and supplies on site. This swing shift position plays a key role in keeping housekeeping operations smooth and responsive to guest needs at the onsite property.

Responsibilities

  • Carries out housekeeping tasks in line with the property's policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Collects soiled linens and towels from rooms and hallways and delivers them to the designated area for laundry.
  • Receives fresh linens and towels and distributes them to the appropriate locations.
  • Stocks housekeeping carts and closets with necessary supplies, materials, and amenities.
  • Ensures equipment is used and maintained following established procedures.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and uses protective equipment as required.
  • Handles cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with standards.
  • Completes tasks promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintains adequate stock levels at all times.
  • Delivers necessary supplies to Guest Room Attendants as needed.
  • Communicates issues or unusual matters of significance to the supervisor.
  • Informs supervision when additional support, supplies, or repairs are needed.
  • Completes maintenance work orders for review by supervisors and management.
  • Accurately completes assigned daily paperwork.
  • Keeps storage areas and carts clean and organized.
  • Takes personal responsibility for delivering an excellent guest experience.
  • Ensures guest issues are resolved promptly, courteously and efficiently.
  • Shares guest feedback with appropriate teams to support continuous improvement.
  • Welcomes corrective and constructive feedback for ongoing improvement.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bi-lingual and multicultural experience helpful.
  • Good interpersonal, guest service and communication skills.
  • Smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required.
  • If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the company’s choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license.
