Laundry Attendant

Join a team that keeps the hotel running smoothly from the ground up. As a Laundry Attendant at AC Hotel San Antonio Riverwalk (onsite), you help maintain a consistent supply of clean linens for guests by completing every stage of linen processing, from collection through delivery. You will work in a hands-on role that supports day-to-day service while following established hotel and hospitality policies.

What you will do

• Handle all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, and loading or unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes).
• Iron, fold, store, and deliver linens and towels as required.
• Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
• Clean laundry machinery and the laundry area, including sweeping and mopping laundry floors and ensuring linens are stored off the floor.
• Operate washing machines and dryers properly, and wash and dry dirty linens, towels, rags, and related items as directed by management.
• Clean the dryer filter daily and maintain equipment as trained.
• Operate the iron according to standard procedures, ensuring it is shut off at the end of day (responsibility may vary by property).
• Fold linens and towels and stock linen carts when needed, keeping carts clean and free of debris.
• Stock linen closets throughout the hotel as applicable.
• Follow safe work habits to support guest and employee safety at all times.
• Stay familiar with Avion Hospitality’s policies and house rules.
• Complete other tasks or jobs as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

What you bring

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
• Ability to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full), with potential weight between 50-400 lbs (may vary by property).
• Ability to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer, with potential weight between 25-150 lbs (may vary by property).
