Laundry Tunnel Operator

At Peppermill Resort Hotel in Reno, NV, the Laundry Tunnel Operator plays an essential role in keeping the laundry workflow running smoothly onsite. This position focuses on safely loading and unloading tunnel washers and dryers while following the correct operational instructions and maintaining awareness around equipment to support day-to-day service.

You will be responsible for moving and handling linens using proper procedures, monitoring laundry equipment, and communicating any safety concerns to Management. The work is hands-on and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safe operation, organization, and the ability to meet deadlines in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload tunnel washers using proper linen weights and the correct wash formula.
• Load and unload dryers.
• Frequently lift and move large quantities of linen.
• Monitor equipment and report any safety issues to Management.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent required.
• Ability to lift over 40 pounds consistently.
• Basic knowledge and use of computers.
• Organized and flexible, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadline pressures.
• Good vision and hearing capabilities to ensure safety while working around equipment.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
