Maintenance Staff

Join Fairwind Hotel on Miami Beach, FL as a Maintenance Staff member (onsite). This role keeps guest spaces safe, comfortable, and functioning smoothly through hands-on repairs and reliable coordination. Pay starts at $17.00 per hour with an in-person work location.

What you’ll do

• Inspect and repair items in guest rooms and common areas, including A/C units, lighting, plumbing, furniture, doors, locks, and fixtures.
• Handle routine A/C maintenance such as cleaning and replacing filters.
• Replace light bulbs and complete minor electrical repairs within your training and qualifications.
• Resolve common plumbing issues including leaking faucets, clogged drains, and running toilets, plus other minor plumbing repairs.
• Complete interior work such as painting, wall touch-ups, caulking, and basic carpentry.
• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests while maintaining guest privacy and a professional, courteous presence.
• Coordinate with Front Desk and Housekeeping to prioritize repairs and communicate when rooms are ready.
• Track repair activity, including completed work, pending issues, and needed supplies.
• Maintain organized tools and work areas, follow safety procedures, and escalate items requiring specialized service.

What you bring

• Spanish is required.
• Maintenance experience in a hotel, residential, or general setting is preferred.
• Practical knowledge of A/C maintenance, minor electrical repairs, plumbing, painting, and basic carpentry.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to perform physical maintenance tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and using ladders safely.
