Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent
Job Description
Renaissance Dallas Addison Hotel in Addison, TX is seeking a Night Auditor/Front Desk Agent to serve as the overnight point of contact, combining night audit responsibilities with essential front desk operations. The manager on duty works from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, and the role follows a rotating schedule that includes two overnight shifts and three day/evening shifts each week. The position offers compensation of $17 to $19 per hour and requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly, service-oriented manner at all times.
- Maintain regular attendance in line with company standards, with scheduling varying to meet hotel needs.
- Uphold a professional appearance, wearing the appropriate uniform and name tag as required by brand standards.
- Comply with company standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Maintain a warm and approachable demeanor throughout the shift.
- Initiate and complete the End of Day process.
- Prepare and review reports required for Food and Beverage audits.
- Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
- Balance the day’s activities, including revenue postings, valet laundry, and front desk paperwork.
- Manage cashiering responsibilities in accordance with Front Office procedures and company standards.
- Operate the Front Office computer system in line with company standards.
- Perform all Front Office functions between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.
- Address and follow up on guest requests during the overnight shift.
- Adhere to safety and emergency procedures as defined by hotel standards.
- Maintain proper record keeping, including logbooks, according to company standards.
- Be familiar with all company policies and house rules.
- Maintain radio communication with other staff throughout the shift and understand security procedures.
- Remain attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees.
- Prepare and distribute daily reports.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid work permit and appropriate paperwork to be employed in the USA.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- College coursework in a related field is helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility is preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of accounting principles is helpful.
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest issues and respond to emergencies.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Long hours may be required.
- Light physical effort: occasional lifting up to 20 pounds and frequent lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds.
