Job Description

Loews New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain immaculate public spaces, assist guests, stock supplies, and uphold safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain immaculate public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells to ensure a welcoming guest experience.
  • Stock and organize housekeeping supplies, keeping storerooms neat, organized, and secure.
  • Report maintenance issues promptly to keep the property in top condition.
  • Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, following all guidelines.
  • Assist guests with accurate information about hotel facilities and services.
  • Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Uphold OSHA safety protocols and hotel standards for emergency procedures and chemical handling.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with standards.
  • May work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred.
  • Basic English skills preferred.
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, and bend.
  • Ability to push, lift, and pull items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively during a shift.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
