Job Description
Loews New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain immaculate public spaces, assist guests, stock supplies, and uphold safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain immaculate public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells to ensure a welcoming guest experience.
- Stock and organize housekeeping supplies, keeping storerooms neat, organized, and secure.
- Report maintenance issues promptly to keep the property in top condition.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, following all guidelines.
- Assist guests with accurate information about hotel facilities and services.
- Attend departmental meetings and collaborate with teammates to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Uphold OSHA safety protocols and hotel standards for emergency procedures and chemical handling.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with standards.
- May work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Previous experience in a cleaning role preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel or resort environment preferred.
- Basic English skills preferred.
- Ability to walk, stand, reach, and bend.
- Ability to push, lift, and pull items weighing up to 25 pounds repetitively during a shift.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.
