Public Area Attendant - Full Time

Giri Hotel Management invites you to join our TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn Haverhill team as a Public Area Attendant. This full-time, onsite role in Haverhill, MA and a pay rate of $18 per hour offer a clear path to growth within one of the hospitality sector’s fastest expanding groups. You will help maintain the hotel and grounds, assist with moving furniture as needed, and engage with guests to foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic cleaning tasks for all public spaces, including vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal
• Identify and return any guest left-behind properties
• Report property damage to a supervisor
• Collaborate with a housekeeping team on each shift
• Keep workstations and equipment tidy, organized, and in good working order
• Coordinate with other staff to ensure guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate special guest needs
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Previous houseperson experience preferred but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods (approximately 90% of the shift)
• Lift up to 50 lbs with appropriate caution
• Push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work independently
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Reading, writing, and spoken English proficiency
• 40-hour workweek; evening shifts; weekends/holidays; scheduling may vary based on need

Additional Preferred Skills and Qualities

• Previous customer-facing experience is a plus
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and procedures
• Strong attention to detail
• Second language skills are advantageous
