Public Space Attendant

The Public Space Attendant provides daily cleaning and upkeep for hotel public areas to support an organized, welcoming environment. The role is onsite in Harrisburg, PA and includes maintaining spaces such as the hotel lobby and restrooms according to hotel expectations and Hilton Hotel Corporation standards.

Location and Pay

• Location: Harrisburg, PA (onsite)
• Pay: USD 14 per hour

Education

• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public restroom fixtures and surfaces, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, countertops, walls, vents, and floors, using specifically assigned cleaning agents
• Empty trash cans and dispose of trash from assigned areas
• Dust furniture and pictures, clean windows and glass, and vacuum public areas
• Vacuum office areas and dispose of trash
• Polish fixtures and mop elevators
• Maintain a clean appearance in stairwells, bathrooms, and the lobby
• Assist in delivering requested items to guests
• Assist with cleaning guest rooms when needed
• Complete other duties assigned by a Housekeeping Manager
• Keep the work area neat and organized
• Provide general assistance to guests

Requirements

• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents
• Knowledge of operation of various cleaning equipment
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, stand, and walk in public areas for extended periods of time
• Ability to understand and follow directions and perform job functions with limited supervision
• Preferred: Cleaning experience
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent
