Room Attendant

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to established standards of cleanliness and propriety, supporting a comfortable experience for every guest. This is a part-time onsite role in Seattle, WA with a variable schedule and weekend and holiday availability.

Job Overview

In this position, you will clean and ready guest rooms in line with hotel expectations for cleanliness and propriety. The role includes applying general cleaning principles, using cleaning products safely, and operating standard cleaning equipment to help maintain consistent room standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms by meeting established standards of cleanliness and propriety to support guest satisfaction.
• Follow general cleaning principles, including safe use of cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment.

Schedule and Location

• Location: Seattle, WA (onsite)
• Status: Part-time
• Schedule: Variable schedule; availability required on weekends and holidays

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $21.61 to $22.61 per hour/DOE
• Pay Type: $21 - 22 per hourly
• Supplemental Pay: Individual Incentives and Bonus Programs

Qualifications

• Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required cleaning duties.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance to represent the hotel positively.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness to ensure room cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests and co-workers to accurately receive and convey information.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency.
• Six months of previous housekeeping or related experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Medium Work: Exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours and perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including operation of vacuums weighing up to 25 lbs., lifting and moving heavy furniture, partially lifting mattresses weighing up to 155 lbs., and pushing a housekeeping cart weighing up to 175 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push, pull, reach, grasp, and see.
