What you’ll do
You will perform a variety of housekeeping duties to keep rooms in a clean and orderly condition. Core tasks include:
- Make beds, replenish linens, and clean room and bathroom areas
- Clean hallways, vacuum as needed, and complete other housekeeping-related tasks
- Unload and load the housekeeping cart with supplies, and replace cleaning supplies
- Report problems and maintenance repairs as needed
- Communicate with your supervisor on room status, work progress, and guest requests or issues
- Record and turn in lost and found items
- Keep the cart clean, neat, and stocked
- Report unsafe conditions immediately
- Complete additional duties as assigned, including cross training
Associates must work within recognized time frames appropriate to the task, meet expected cleaning times for rooms according to brand standards, and maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality. Teamwork and respectful conduct are essential.
Physical demands and working conditions
- Lift and carry average weight of 20 lbs frequently, with maximum weight frequently up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet
- Reach and use overhead extension to pull items down
- Pushing and pulling average weight frequently 50 lbs, maximum frequently 150 lbs
- Repetitive motions including bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting
You may work with and be exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise. The role requires adherence to hotel safety standards and procedures, including appropriate hearing, eye, and hand protection for equipment operation.
Requirements

- Follow all safety procedures and meet or exceed productivity standards
- Prior housekeeping experience is helpful
- Must pass a criminal background check
