Room Attendant
Job Description
Join OTH Hotels Resorts as a Room Attendant at our onsite location in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ, delivering clean, well-prepared rooms in a fast-paced housekeeping setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean and ready guest rooms using established hotel procedures and cleanliness standards
- Make beds, vacuum floors, dust surfaces, and sanitize all room areas
- Clean bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, mirrors, and fixtures
- Replace linens, towels, and guest toiletries based on room needs
- Restock minibar items and other in-room supplies
- Empty trash and replace liners in guest rooms and designated service areas
- Identify and report maintenance concerns such as broken fixtures, leaks, or damaged furniture
- Handle guest requests for additional towels, amenities, or supplies
- Maintain guest privacy and security during room entry and throughout service
- Provide courteous, professional interactions with guests
- Clean hallways, housekeeping carts, and service areas as assigned
- Keep housekeeping equipment and supply areas clean, organized, and ready for use
- Follow proper handling and storage steps for cleaning chemicals and tools
- Comply with all hotel safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Follow hotel procedures for guest room entry and privacy protocols
- Meet compliance expectations with company policies and housekeeping guidelines
Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 25–50 lbs
- Continuous physical activity throughout the shift in guest rooms and hallways
- Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and related equipment
- Ability to work in indoor environments with exposure to cleaning chemicals
- Capability to complete repetitive physical tasks efficiently and safely
- Strong attention to detail and consistent commitment to cleanliness
- Time management skills to meet daily room quotas
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated work approach
- Basic communication skills and customer service mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is a plus
Job Overview

Salary & Schedule

- Direct supervisor: Housekeeping Manager / Executive Housekeeper
Education & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience: Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
