Responsibilities
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction during their stay
- Collaborate with teammates to uphold hotel cleanliness standards
- Keep the service cart organized and stocked
- Use equipment, supplies, and amenities properly
- Ensure thorough cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas
- Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following the Green Program standards
- Observe safety practices and report hazards such as broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, or suspicious activity
- Treat guests' property with respect
- Handle equipment with care
- Arrive on time per schedule, maintain accurate time records, and follow room issuance procedures
- Remain attentive, courteous, and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Floor Supervisor
Requirements
- Housekeeping experience desirable
- Neat, pleasant personality
- Time management skills
- Ability to work on feet for an extended period
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
- Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, position and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
- Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 lbs
