Room Attendant - Housekeeper
Job Description
Visitation Hotel Frederick, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a Room Attendant to support clean, comfortable guest rooms every day. This onsite role focuses on maintaining rooms to established standards while contributing to an experience that aligns with strong guest satisfaction.
As a Room Attendant - Housekeeper, you will complete assigned cleaning and room upkeep tasks efficiently, follow required safety practices, and help ensure that each space is ready for the next guest. The work is hands-on, and your attention to detail supports both operational goals and guest comfort.
What you’ll do
- Greet guests with a warm, friendly greeting when interactions occur.
- Clean guest rooms to standards within the allotted time frame using methods such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Change bed linens and replace towels and other amenities.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures, including dusting furniture, walls, or equipment.
- Notify managers about repairs needed in guest rooms.
- Handle guest items left in rooms according to the lost and found policy.
- Follow safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Assist with house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
- Stay aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction through consistent room readiness and service support.
- Complete other duties as requested by management.
What we’re looking for
- Education: High School diploma (preferred).
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
- Language: Ability to understand and communicate in English.
Safety and compliance
- Knowledge of MSDS and OSHA standards.
Work schedule and physical requirements
- Schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends.
- Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, lifting up to 20 pounds, and working with cleaning chemicals.

- Hourly pay: USD 17 - 19 per hour.
