Room Attendant - Housekeeper

As a Room Attendant/Housekeeper at The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park in El Paso, TX, you will help keep guest rooms clean, comfortable, and aligned with established standards. The role combines room readiness, guest engagement, and flexible support for departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm, friendly greeting when interacting in guest-facing areas.
• Clean and refresh guest rooms in accordance with hotel standards within the assigned time frame, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Change bed linens and replace towels and other room amenities as needed.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures; dust furniture, walls, and related equipment.
• Report maintenance concerns by notifying managers about repairs needed in guest rooms.
• Handle guest items left in rooms in line with the lost and found policy.
• Maintain safe work practices by using protective safety equipment and following MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Support additional duties as required, including house person and lobby attendant responsibilities when short staffed or during peak periods.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and contribute to actions that improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction throughout daily room service activities.
• Complete other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.

Work Schedule and Environment

The work schedule varies and may include shifts on holidays and weekends. The position requires prolonged standing and frequent physical activity, including walking, pushing and pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Work also includes use of cleaning chemicals.
