Valet/Driver

Onsite role in Dallas, TX where you help create a smooth, welcoming arrival experience. This Bellman/Driver/Valet position focuses on courteous guest service, safe transportation between the hotel and local locations, and keeping vehicles and key guest areas clean and ready for every arrival.

What you’ll do

• Deliver an excellent level of service by greeting guests in a friendly demeanor and communicating warmly at all times.
• Help manage lobby guest traffic and assist with controlling flow around the entrance, lobby, and elevators areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of the Sheraton Dallas Galleria entrance, lobby, and elevators areas.
• Safely transport guests by driving shuttle vans or other vehicles between the hotel and local locations.
• Load and unload guest luggage and other materials, and assist guests with packages as needed.
• Open doors, escort guests to elevators and to their rooms as needed, and support smooth arrivals and departures.
• Provide information regarding the local community upon request.
• Complete required transportation logs and report vehicle mechanical problems immediately.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure safety and security for guests, and continuously look for opportunities to assist guests, other departments, or leaders.
• Handle other duties as assigned.

Vehicle and safety expectations

You’ll keep vehicles clean and properly functioning while maintaining a positive, comfortable experience for guests. The role also includes driving the hotel shuttle within the local area, along with completing transportation logs and following traffic and transportation procedures.

What you bring

• A current & valid driver’s license is required, with no moving violations on your driving record.
• Driving record free of serious infractions.
• High school diploma or equivalent related experience required; high school diploma preferred.
• Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Frequent ability in standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, bending, and stooping.
• Commitment to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and proper functioning while ensuring guest comfort.

Position summary

The Bellman/Driver greets guests and provides courteous services including opening doors, operating elevators, helping with luggage, and assisting with lobby guest traffic flow. You’ll also maintain the cleanliness and proper functioning of the vehicle to support a positive, comfortable experience for guests.
