$19 - $22/hr Full time Hospitality Hotel Hotel Operations

Onsite role in Carlsbad, CA focused on delivering clean, ready-for-occupancy rooms that meet established hotel standards.

Clean and reset guest bedroom and bathroom areas to established standards
Sort, count, fold, and carry linen
Make beds
Replenish supplies including amenities, drinking glasses, and clean linen
Lift and move furniture weighing no more than 20 lbs
Sweep and scrub bathroom floors using broom and mops
Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner and/or proper chemicals
Dust furniture, equipment, and fixtures
Wash tile walls, tub, sink, and toilets
Polish woodwork and metal work such as fixtures and metal fittings
Clean windows, door panels, and sills
Empty wastebaskets
Replenish bathroom supplies
Organize and stock the cleaning cart
Organize linen closets on assigned floors
Complete assigned paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Clean additional work areas including hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairwells, locker rooms, and other assigned areas
Self-inspect clean guest rooms for sale
Clean occupied guest rooms
Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
Handle additional requests such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
Assist other housekeeping team members in keeping work areas clean and organized
Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
Ability to read and write to facilitate communication
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic computational ability
Working knowledge of applicable sanitation standards
Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
Ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs on a regular and continuing basis
Ability to exert well-paced effort in limited space
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to complete cleaning tasks
Ability to reach different floors of the hotel on a timely basis
Ability to perform tasks requiring grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening/hearing, and visual acuity
Talking and hearing occur continuously with guests, supervisors, and coworkers
Vision occurs continuously with near vision and depth perception requirements
Manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment

Regular attendance in conformance with standards is essential; irregular attendance may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules based on hotel business needs
Attendance at scheduled training sessions and meetings is required
Upon employment, employees must fully comply with Westin/Solea Carlsbad Resort & Spa rules and regulations for safe and effective operation of hotel facilities
Violations of hotel rules and regulations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per The Cassara Carlsbad’s standards
