Attendant - Houseman

Bally's Shreveport Casino & Hotel is hiring an Attendant - Houseman for onsite work in Shreveport, LA. This role supports smooth housekeeping operations through room readiness, guest-focused interactions, and timely reporting of maintenance needs, while following safety and emergency procedures.

What you’ll do

• Maintain a winning personality with refinement, confidence, and style in all interactions.
• Complete assigned tasks with enthusiasm and professionalism to meet and exceed guest expectations.
• Provide professional greetings to guests and housekeeping personnel.
• Ensure assigned rooms are properly cleaned, with amenities and guest supplies placed according to standards.
• Keep housekeeping closets properly stocked, neat, and clean.
• Report maintenance issues to dispatch accurately and promptly.
• Use proper telephone/radio techniques and etiquette.
• Communicate effectively in one-on-one situations with guests and other members of the company.
• Maintain knowledge of property programs, promotions, activities, and functions.
• Answer patrons’ complaints and work to resolve problems.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures, including fire, crowd control, inclement weather, and bomb threats.
• Communicate with guests and direct or escort them to facilities and functions within the property.
• Interact with guests and other room attendants in a courteous, empathetic, and discreet manner.
• Support and maintain Bally’s courtesy guidelines for guests and employees, promoting outstanding guest relations.
• Perform tasks listed on the daily checklist and complete other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for

• High School or better
• Technical/other training or better
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position, including standing/walking continuously for up to 6 hours per day and using stairs.
• Occasional ability to lift and/or move more than 40 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities: close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
• Ability to work in changing temperatures and use cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to work in a smoking environment.
• Work environment noise level is usually moderate to high.

Compensation

Target salary range: $12.00/hour (USD $12 - $12 per hour).
